i-ROBOT Theatre postponed until further notice

Regrettably, Swallow-a-Bicycle Theatre's production of i-ROBOT Theatre, scheduled for May 5-15, 2010, has been postponed until further notice.

Due to serious technical problems with the fire safety equipment in the Seafood Market that the Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) has been unable to resolve, we cannot proceed with use of the space for public shows and gatherings, in the interest of public safety. At this time, CMLC is working to assess the issues but the timeframe for completion is unknown.

"One of the risks of working in unusual spaces is that unforeseen circumstances will arise," says Mark Hopkins, Co-Artistic Director of Swallow-a-Bicycle Theatre. "i-ROBOT Theatre will happen, whether it's in the Seafood Market or elsewhere, and we appreciate all the work that the CMLC has done to get us this far."
